Coaches Q&A with Keith Olsommer:
Q. What are his strengths at tight end?
A. He has good hands and is an exceptional blocker. He is more of a traditional/old school tight end.
He may not have great speed, but he is good to get out in play action and stretch the defense.
He’s a tough kid and is good at getting yardage after the catch. He’s really able to make some nice runs when we can get him the ball. He really showed it last season in some games.
Q. How did he do last year on defense and what are his strengths on defense?
A. I thought he was one of the best defensive linemen in our conference. He was exceptional last year for us.
He’s a good run stopper and pass rusher. He has fantastic hands and good power. He can shed you and make a move to the quarterback.
