Coaches Q&A with Greg Bernhardt:

Q. How many years has he been a starter for your program?

A. He started all the games last year for us as a junior. He did start a lot of games for us as a sophomore.

Q. What kind of leader is he?

A. He’s tremendous leader. Collin is a little different, some guys are vocal, and he’s not like that. Collin is so down to earth and he really doesn’t get caught up in everything that is going around him. He works hard at everything he does. Kids see him working his butt off and being real humble and the other players follow him.

Q. What are his strengths?

A. He has always had a strong arm, but his best attribute is his feet. It’s not necessarily his speed, it’s the way he can move and get out of the way of trouble. He has really developed into a good runner. He has a tremendous arm and can make all the throws.
