Coaches Q&A with Jeff Weachter:
Q. What is his strength at receiver?
A. The number one thing is his speed. As an eighth grader he finished second in the nation in the 100 meters in a national track meet. He has a long stride and when he gets into his stride you don’t realize he’s going as fast as he is. He is very strong and he’s tough to bring down when he catches the ball. He runs good routes and is always working harder to be better. When he gets in open space, no one can catch him.
Q. Do you move him around?
A. He can play the slot or outside receiver for us. We like to move him around and find the mismatches.
Q. How is he as a special teams guy?
A. Most people don’t really kick to him, because of his speed. He’s a very good kick and punt returner.
Q. How is he on defense?
A. He is a physical player on defense and is a good cover corner and we can play him at safety. He may play nickel for us this year.
College’s offers: As of 5/30, he has from Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Temple and West Virginia
