Coaches Q&A with George Curry:
Q. What are his strengths as a defensive player?
A. He played on pass situations last year, because of his height. He is a good press defensive back. He’s hard to get away from.
This year he is going to start at safety for us. The other day we went with a 7-on-7 and it was a play down at the goal line. They tried an out pass and Andrew came up and read it and caught it one-handed and went the distance. That is the type of plays this young man can make.
Q. What are his strengths as a receiver?
A. He’s so athletic. He has the best vertical jump that I have ever seen. He’s a playmaker and has great hands and runs great routes. We can throw to him deep or underneath passes and he’s a threat to take it all the way from anywhere on the field.
