2013 Big School Offensive Player of the Year: Andrew Ford, Cedar Cliff

afordAndrew Ford, is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior quarterback.  On offense he passed for 2,778 yards on 161 of 234 passes and 35 touchdowns with only seven interceptions. He had an NCAA passing rating of 211.9.

Last season he passed for 2,940 yards and 35 touchdowns.

He helped his team to a 9-2 record.

Andrew is an incredible leader,” said head football coach James Cantafio. “He sets an example for the rest of the team. He’s very dedicated and always looking to improve. He is very smart and understands the game. He is a coach on the field.”

Earlier this month he was named 2013-14 Gatorade Pennsylvania Football Player of the Year. He earned invitations to the Elite 11 quarterback camp and Nike’s The Opening this past summer.

He verbally committed to play football at Virginia Tech over schools like Temple, UMass, Virginia, Rutgers, Pitt, Penn State, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern and Duke.
