Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?
A. The offense will be more balanced compared to 2013. We will still try to run efficiently, but we will throw the football to get the ball to our wide receivers in space.
Quarterback Junior David Kretschman started the seven games last year as a sophomore due to injury. He helped the Ghosts win two playoffs games and is expected to improve his overall game.
Wide receiver Senior Jordan Neely was the leading receiver in 2013 and is expected to be a big play threat as a WR and Returner.
The running back spot might be by committee. Three players, Seniors Juawine Sowell & Anthony Culbreath and Junior Michael Brooks will see touches.
The O-line returns one starter, Left Tackle Pat Maguire.
Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense? Please talk about the players that will impact your defense this year.
A. This year’s Ghost’s Defense will be built on speed and the ability to run to the football and tackle.
The defense is led by returning starters at Middle Linebacker, Seniors Daron Boone & Brandon Levert.
Two defensive tackles return in Senior Nick Fitzpatrick and Junior Omar Peterkin.
Jordan Neely is returning at Cornerback and will be expected to lock on opponent’s best receiver.
Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?
A. Abington returns an excellent long snapper, Senior Shane Griffin and Matt Bachman as a kicker.
