academy_parkHead Coach Jason Vosheski Q&A

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. Our offense is an explosion waiting to happen. We have the ability to score quickly from anywhere on the field through the air or on the ground.

Our top players to watch on offense are: Quarterback Allon Ruffin, Wide Receiver Josh Ingram, Running Backs Jermaine Wesley and Jeremy Dembry.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. Our defense is as athletic as any defense around. Trying to get to the perimeter on us will be very difficult.

Our top players to watch on defense are: Linebackers Anthony Balogh and Jeremy Dembry, Defensive Line Roman Bussey, and Defense Back Clarence Buchanan.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. Our cover has always been very good and disciplined, which shouldn’t change this year. Our return game is always a threat to go the distance.

As of now we have several candidates for the return positions and both kicking jobs.

2014 Outlook: Although we graduate the majority of our starters on both offense and defense, we have plenty of talent in our current junior and sophomore classes. We will continue to try and be one of the most feared teams in class 3A.

What they lack is experience, but then again that’s what we lacked in ’12 when we went 10-2 and won the Del-Val.

We have no intention of taking a step back. We look to reload NOT rebuild.
