Season Outlook/Comments:

  • We lost some great players but more importantly great leaders with a solid work ethic- people need to emerge as leaders- our players need to develop confidence early
  • Many open spots in our skill positions-competition will be good
  • Roster should be 50 plus-very exciting-many new faces with great attitudes
  • Great numbers at summer workouts this summer-dedicated group of players
  • Solid nucleus of returning players, especially @ OL/DL
  • Special teams should be strong again
  • Team seems more accustomed to new staff/system in 2nd year- much time spent in summer on schemes and technique-Attention to the little things was our focus: “Football 101”
  • Schedule is very difficult- 7 playoff teams from last year, plus our rival (C Columbia) and a guaranteed much improves team in Hughesville

  • Offensively

–        The play of our OL will dictate our success

–        No player has game experience (Kashner has game exp.)- needs to efficiently run offense

–        Scheme will be more simplified this year

  • Defensively

–        Major losses @ LB and FS

–        DL needs to control the line of scrimmage-many are returners
