lower_dauphinHead Coach Rob Klock Q&A

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. This year we are going to try and be much more balanced. Last year we adopted a veer scheme because of Troy Spencer being such a strong running quarterback. This year Tommy Klock will be taking over at quarterback and we look to throw the ball a lot more.

Our ground game will return to our traditional power-gap scheme and also a zone scheme. Up front is where we will excel. Returning starters JR Borreli, Quentin Horting and Omi Ramos will lead the way.

We will have several running backs getting touches including David Hamaty, George Hatalowich and Kyle Walker.

Receivers that will need to step up to improve our passing game are Adam Domovich, Adam Zeiders and Colton Swartz.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. We will be sticking with our base 4-4 scheme. We are very pleased to have a big front four with a lot of experience returning.

The leader up front will be defensive end Ben Ross.

On the second level we feel very confident in our linebackers. Jake Brinser will be the boss on the inside and George Hatalowich returns as a starter at outside linebacker.

In our secondary, Adam Domovich will return at safety. He led the team in interceptions and will call all of our adjustments.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. Special teams played a major role in our District III Championship run in 2013 and it will continue to be a priority.

Adam Domovich returns as one of the best punters in the state.

We have to find someone to fill the shoes of All-State Kicker, Joe Julius and its going to be tough, but we feel Antonio Heredia will step up to the challenge!

Our return men this year will be senior – Adam Zeiders and freshman Clay Spencer. Both have the ability to give us great field position on any return.

2014 Outlook: Looking to defend the 4A District 3 Championship.  Our defense looks to be back as a strong force.  We have several starters returning on defense and some quality underclassmen to fill the roster.

Offensively we will have a new look.  Last year we adopted a veer scheme because of our running QB.  This year we anticipate being much more balanced returning to our gap scheme, zone scheme and play action passing.
