newhopesoleburyHead Coach Jim DiTulio Q&A

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. We will mainly run the spread offense 85 percent of the time. We like to work the quick passing game to get the ball in the player’s hands quickly to make plays.

Players to watch: Brendan Shadle-RB. Soph., Tommy Capriotti, FB/RB, Soph., Steve Ratigan, WR, Junior., Matt Fest, C., Soph.

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. We will swarm to the ball and get after it. We lost 7-8 starters but we believe we have some young kids that will step in a fill the void.

Players to watch: Matt Fest, DT, Edgar Pelaez, DT, Tommy Capriotti, LB, Franco Mannino, LB

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. We lost our Kicker/Punter Danny Sutton to graduation who is currently playing at Towson. We were spoiled by his 28 touchbacks last year. It makes a difference when the opponents start on their own 20 as opposed to the 35-40.

We are still trying players out at these positions but Brendan Shadle will most likely handle the kicking duties along with Cameron Skoroda. Tommy Capriotti & Matt Fest will be the projected punters.
