Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?
A. Our offense will be different than it has been the past few years. We will incorporate the use of a fullback and tight end on a regular basis and I have hired George Chaump as the coordinator.
We will remain an attacking style offense that aims to put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses.
Impact players include last year’s player of the year James Way III (QB), Bryshon Sweeney (RB), Sae’Quan Whitaker (WR), Nate Dlemotte (WR), Danny Acevedo (WR), Lasmir Mitchell (FB), and Jake Whitfield (OL).
Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?
A. Defensively, we are stressing pressure and aggressiveness. We want to take advantage of our athleticism and hope to create more turnovers by utilizing various fronts and coverages.
Impact players include Lasmir Mitchell (LB), Sae’Quan Whitaker (DB), Bryshon Sweeney (DB), Darren Stephens (LB), Jake Whitfield (DL), and Kam Beverley (LB).
Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?
A. We have some questions to answer and players to replace on special teams this year. We need to find a punter and we have a first year place kicker.
As far as the return game goes, we will be primarily using Bryshon Sweeney (3 year starter). He is very elusive, has great vision and is sure handed.
We will also be utilizing Angel Dejesus, Sae’Quan Whitaker, and Jaime Mueses.
