2015 Outlook:
Offense: The entire offensive line and tight end return with starting experience from a group that averaged 300 yards rushing a game. Newcomer QB Derek Sheaffer looks to have a breakout year with FB Pagano and RB Boney in the backfield, and WR Josh Artis at wideout. The offense should be more diversified with an improved passing game.
Defense: MLB Pagano will be the leader of the defense and should have a big year. The defensive front will be anchored by DL Eric Miller and DE Kyle Carraher, and look for DB Villafane to have a break out year.
Special Teams: SO K/P Carson Landis 6’2” 172 returns and will handle both the kicking and punting this year. JR LS Ian McCardle 6’1” 190 returns and will do all of the snapping. These two were solid starters last year and should have another good year.

Emmaus should have a solid year. Boney looks to be a monster in the run game, while anchoring a defense led by him and Pagano. Look for sophomore Matt Bisko to get some contributions on the offensive side of the ball. Derek Shaeffer looks to be a gun slinger… adding a QB with a good arm along with boney, pagano, the O-Line and Josh Artis out wide, Emmaus could really surprise some people and make a nice push toward the District playoffs. Early games against home vs. Easton and @ Freedom will be huge for this team in gauging where they may end up.
@D11ff. I’d have to agree with you there Roman,Romig,Purnell,Miller,Poling, and Carraher could end up bullying their EPC competition this year. It’s going to be really fun to watch their smash mouth football team play this year. Emmaus as a whole was one of my top picks last year to fight for a district bid. I see no reason why they can’t this year except the fact that they didn’t seem to really click last year. Gotta wonder how a defense who returned so many starters last year was beaten on as much as Emmaus’ was.
Emmaus promises to be an exciting team this year their offensive line should be one of the best in the area rb kyle boney should have no problem breaking 2k yards behind this experienced group. I definitely see their front 7 being dominant as well featuring some very big and physical guys and they should have a lot of depth on the defensive line. They need to establish a good passing game to compliment their down hill rushing attack. If they can do that I could see them making a bid for the district 11 quad a playoffs.
