D1 (FBS & FCS) Prospects: (4)

Sr. Jake Novak (WR), Sr. Tyler Simon (LB), Jr. Tyler Flick (RB), Soph. Evan Simon (QB)

Key Stats:

2016 Special Teams: Brad Myer averaged 36 yards per punt.

2016 Defense: 3 out of our top 6 tacklers in 2016 are back.

2016 Offense: gained 3,553 yards on the ground and leading receiver Jake Novak (68 catches for 1,236 yards) returns

2017 Outlook:

Offense: We have experience on the line and at the running back position. Last year we rotated 8 offensive linemen and a couple of running backs, so we are battled tested there and have seen a lot. Jake Novak will lead our receiver group that is inexperienced but talented. Newcomers, Evan Simon and Evan Hosler are battling it out for the QB position.

Defense: We have two years under our belt in our defensive scheme, we feel good about our learning curve and where we are at, at this point. Like I said last year being solid tacklers and pursuit to the ball are keys to any good defense and we will place a major emphasize on it as well as turnover ratio. We will be led by returning defensive players, Colin Erb, Garret Fittery, Tyler Simon and Jake Novak.

Special Team: Punting duties should be under the controls of Brad Myer. Kick-offs and PAT’s will be contested by several players.
