2024 Outlook: We need to stay healthy; run the ball on offense; on defense, get off the field on 3rd down; and capitalize on turnovers. If we solidify our offensive line by filling spots with promising new players and are able to control the line of scrimmage, we feel confident on our RB and skill positions to be successful on offense and defense.

Offense: Offensively- it all starts up front. With three returning lineman (Horvath, Granger, Newell) and a couple of players who had valuable time playing varsity football last year, we believe we have a promising group returning. We also return our leading ball carrier Sam Snyder and Brodie Camp who also played valuable snaps at running back. While we lost valuable receivers last year, we return Cole Callahan and Ty Callahan who were two of our leading receivers last year. We also have promising depth at this position with players that have played a lot of varsity football like AJ Diamond, Luke Helmle, Daiyaan Reyes, and Cooper Callahan. We will have a new QB for the first time in three seasons with projected starter Johnny Campbell or Andrew Stanley. We need to be able to run the ball more consistently and efficiently. With the combination of experience and competition at open spots, success will be dependent upon our ability to run the ball; our new QB leading the offense; and using our athletes on the outside.

Defense: Defensively- we got hit hard with graduation at the LB position. However we have our leading ILB in Sam Snyder returning. There’s plenty of competition for the remaining spots and we’ve been really happy with what we’ve seen from our younger players at this position during spring ball. Up front Newell and King are two that have played plenty of snaps and are leaders which will help our new players. We use Cole Callahan at OLB in a variety of ways and he will certainly help with our interior play and setting the edge. We return many of our players that played on the back end from last year- Ty Callahan, Daiyaan Reyes, Brodie Camp, Luke Helmle, AJ Diamond. This group was solid last year and despite losing a couple key DB’s we feel confident in this group. The key will be our ability to stop the run and get off the field on 3rd down.

Special Team: We will have a new kicker and punter this year. We have a soccer player Reece Bredickas who will be joining us and has a strong leg. Newcomer Henry Perrin will compete with Reece for kicking duties.
