Coaches comments:

How’s your offensive line look?

“We have returning at center John Spandoni, Tackle Forrest Myers and Tackle Michael Fleming. We have three of the five kids back. Nick Tone or Justin Weldon will battle for the other guard spot. Forrest is only going to be a Junior this year and has about 25 starts under his belt.”

How about at quarterback?

“We have our quarterback back. His name is Brad Wilkins.”

How’s your running game look? Is your running game your strength on offense?

“We have a lot of experience coming back. We have Shane Simpson back. We have Kyle Bambary, he is the kid that filled in when Simpson went down with an injury. We also have Cameron Casciole who is experienced at fullback as well as Nolan Kilpatrick.”

How do your receivers and tight ends look?

“We got wiped out at the receiver and tight end spots. We have a battle at the tight end between Leonard Estephan and Justin Best. At the flanker positions it is wide-open. It will be a battle at camp.”

How’s your defensive line look?

“We have returning on the line Tackle Justin Weldon. Michael Fleming and Forrest Myers will see time on the line. We have Nick Raso back at one of the end spots. Leonard Estephan will be the other end and Mike McLeane will get some playing time. We have about 6 or 7 defensive ends.”

How about your linebackers?

“We have three of the four linebackers returning. They have middle linebacker Cameron Casciole. He was our leading tackler last year. At outside linebacker we have returning Nolan Kilpatrick and Justin Best. Altariq Key and Kyle Bambary add depth at the linebacker spot.”

How does your secondary look?

“We lost everyone. But Simpson did play a half of season back there. So he will be back there. E.J. Roeder will compete for the safety position.  Alec Bina is another player that could be back there.”

Note: “The strength of the offense is the experience on the line and the back field. On offense they need to find a long threat, someone who can get down the field. “We need to develop a passing game. We lost three big targets from last year.”

The strength of the defense is the front seven. Easton needs to find another cover guy and corner in the secondary. “On defense its going to come down to the pass defense. We have kids up front that can put pressure on people.”
