Tim Wade LaSalle., he led a team with 14 new starters back to the Eastern Title game for 3 rd straight year! He not only carried the team throughout the season, he had 6 TD s in playoff wins against Washington and Nazareth. He finished the year with 22 TD s and close to 1600 yds rushing. As an uncle of a player on that team, I can guarantee you that no player had the respect and admiration of his team mates than Wade. Kid started as a 160 LB FB as a 15 yr old Soph on AAAA State title team to now being a 180 LB Star tailback. Classy kid who leads by example on and off the field!
Pennridge showed a lot of character this year after losing their first three games one of them to Council Rock South with a score of 2-0 with all underclassmen starting on the line. Mike Class ended up with over 1500 yards rushing and Pennridge’s defense was one of the top in the state. Pennridge has everyone back next year including three D1 prospects. Pennridge should be a team to keep an eye on next year.
ERIC PABST LB SCRANTON HIGH SCHOOL 131 TACKLES AND 6 SACKS AND TONS OF TACKLES FOR LOSSES. ALL OER THE FIELD ON DEFEENSE.
I have to tip my hat to North Penn. They have had more talaent laden teams in the past and not made it that far. Was a team effort. Job well done.
Tyler Levan FB Southern Columbia. Had 1,932 yards and 29 tds on the ground and another 9 rec for 126 yards and another score. It was the 6th best rushing season in school history
Zayd Issah!
Southern Columbia Tigers Quarterback & Linebacker Brad Fegley by setting the state record of not throwing an INTERCEPTION for any QB to ever play in a 16 game season
Brad Fegley of Southern Columbia was a stud on both offense & defense…He led the Tigers to the State Championship game at the QB position for all 16 games without throwing an INT all season! He was very accurate and was a valuable rusher when the Tigers needed him to be…on defense he was clearly the Tigers best player and he got completely ripped off by not making the All-State team, he should get plenty of other awards in the upcoming month though…Fegley was a standout!
Ryan Zapoticky Junior QB Dallas. 23TD’s passing, 7TD rushing. Threw at least 1 TD in all 12 games. Jason Simonovich JR. Wide receiver over 500 yards receiving. Should be a great combination next season. Dallas Returns a large nucleus next season. Should be competitive in AAA again next season.
Garnet Valley had a tremendous season this year. Back in August, I don’t think anyone expected them to win a Central League title, beat Ridley twice, and make the 3rd round of the playoffs. Watch out for these guys next year because they will not be going anywhere.
Andrew Cohen from CR South was dominant this season at defensive tackle. Most games he was double and even triple teamed and still managed to put up a high number of sacks from the interior tackle position and seemed to make a huge play every game. There was not one game where you did not hear Cohen’s name multiple times
Brad Fegley, the QB for SCA, went 16 games and threw 0 interceptions, a record that can only be shared and never broken. Unless they ever go to a 17 game season.
