Friday night recap:
Scranton Prep continued their dominating ways as they rolled over the Wyoming Valley West Spartans 41-21.
With Monsoon like rain pelting the players as they played at Spartan Stadium, Liam Barrett scored two touchdowns in the opening half as Scranton prep jumped out to a 41 point lead and rolled to a 41-21 victory over Wyoming Valley West in the non-league action.
Prep, honorable mention in the latest PIAA class 3A State rankings on both sides of the ball just kept hammering the Spartans. Barrett had himself quite the night. He returned a punt 42 yards nearly untouched, to give Prep a 21- 0 lead.
That came just after he almost ripped another one off returning it 21 yards before the last Spartan defender got him before the goal line. The senior later made a highlight reel catch for a 27-yard touchdown sidestepping a defender and making a one-handed grab and he also picked off a pass on the Spartans first offensive series leading to the Cavaliers second touchdown of the night.
