On Saturday afternoon at Dunmore high school, utilizing a plethora of talent from around the region, the Scranton Prep Cavaliers claimed their third straight District 2 AAA championship over a depleted Western Wayne squad that didn’t have powerhouse running back Josh Vinton available for the game because of a concussion, who also was a defensive All-Star for the Wildcats.

Valley View beat a stout Wyoming Area team to advance to the District 2 AAAA Final.

The Dunmore Bucks winning tradition is back on track after losing last year’s District Championship to a dominant Lakeland Chiefs squad, the Bucks captured another District 2 AA Title, beating Riverside, and will face Williams Valley in the first round of the P.I.A.A playoffs.
