In January, former head coach Mike Milano retired from the Downingtown West program.
Mike coached for 21 years and had a career record of 211-131-1.
Taking over the program is Tom Kline. The school board will officially announce this at the March 13th board meeting.
“I have coached previously at Great Valley, West Chester East, Lower Merion, West Chester Rustin, and Springfield Delco (I was the head coach for three years), and for the last ten years, I have been at Downingtown West.”
Tom attended high school at Upper Perkiomen and college at West Chester University.
“I was on the track and field team.”
Tom teaches health and physical education at Lower Merion High School.
