Q & A with Pennridge head football coach Randy Cuthbert
We sat down with Cuthbrert and talked to him about his team for the 2012 season.
How is your off-season going this summer?
We have a lot of players back on both sides of the ball. The off-season has been real smooth.
Who do you have coming back on offense?
We have a couple of starters back. The one is our OG Tyler Kio and the OT back is Shane Kraynik. At center is Mike Solazzo, OT Shane Galloway, and OG Andy Graff will round up the line. Ryan Anton will battle for playing time at the center spot.
Our starter at quarterback is back Alex Krivda. He brings a lot of experience from last season. We are expecting him to have a good year.
We have our big running back, Mike Class. He was a first teamer as a sophomore. We are excepting a huge year from him. He is a division one kid.
Our fullback is MacKenzie Crawford. Our wingback is Kyle Bigam. Another guy that might play is John Kim. Kim is a running back and wingback.
Our starter at tight end is back, John Dubyk. We have two receivers that started as sophomores, Micah Stutzman and Peter Psomiadis.
Who do you have coming back on defense?
We will start with DE John Dubyk on the line. He may end up being a linebacker this year. He was first team all-league last year. My other defensive end is Andy Graff. Michale Supp is on the line. There will be a battle for the other spots on the line.
ILB MacKenzie Crawford was a starter last year at linebacker. Kyle Bigam will be one of the outside linebackers.
In the secondary is safety Jeremy Xander. He was a starter last year. The corners are John Kim and Mike Class. Pete Psomoadis will be playing back there too.
What do you have coming back on special teams?
John Dubyk was the punter last year. The kicker position is open. Our kick returners are Mike Class and John Kim. My punt returner is Matt Pasquale.
To have a successful season you have to?
We need to stay healthy. We don’t have a lot of depth. Last year we had too many injuries. Everyone is going to try and stop Mike Class. It’s so important we have each guy do his job. We got to have more than one weapon.
We need to play good defense. On offense we need to take care of the ball.

Looking forward to a great season for the Rams. Lots of talent coming back. Mike Class and Kenny Crawford ahould give them a great 1-2 punch at running back. The Ram’s defense should be pretty stingy. Teams will have a tough time scoring against the Rams. 2012 should be their best year under Cuthbert. This year’s team seems focused and committed. Let’s just hope Pennridge throws the ball more this year. Last year’s 6 to 1 run to pass ratio was, well, silly even by high school standards.
