Coaches comment: Khalid possesses the power, size, and speed of a seasoned college athlete, despite being only 17. He has dedicated himself and trusted our coaching for nearly four years, and he brought some natural talent with him from the start. I recall asking, “Who is this kid with the red cleats?” (our team colors are purple and gold) during his freshman year when he was chasing down a top QB from the formidable Imhotep Charter high school team. It was Khalid making the most of his opportunity when many players were injured. Since then, he hasn’t stopped pursuing QBs and dominating opposing lines. While much can be said about his QB sacks and tackles for loss, his stops at the line of scrimmage are numerous. I’m excited for his future, as the possibilities are endless.
