You are correct for other than District One, Brian; D1 has altered the system and awards points for “prior” wins by a team that beats you.

  2. If you lose to any team, you don’t get any points from them or any wins that they may have. A loss means 0 points from that team. Teams you beat, you pick up points based on classification and then 10 points for each of their wins they have and any future wins the rest of the way.

If I did indeed read the District One posting correctly, the losing team gets only the bonus points for prior wins by the winner, not any future wins. The rule certainly means more later in the season when teams build more wins.

  4. Kmac, does the team that lost the game get points for all the wins the winning team has that year or just for the prior wins they had

Be aware that per my note on the big posting stream about D1 bonus points; the D1 ratings are off by the new system. PA Football News said they were using the old system to better match all districts. So D1 teams are not awarded the bonus points for “PREVIOUS” wins by teams that beat them. Examples: Council Rock North is 360,Abington’s three wins adding 30 to the list’s number. North Penn is 130, Wood’s prior win and St. Joe’s prior win add 20 points. Undefeated teams are not affected, but teams’ with losses have additional points; providing the team that beat them had prior wins.
