Coaches Q&A with Chirs Hakel:
Q. What kind of leader is he?
A. He’s a great leader. The way he conducts himself on and off the field, kids look up to him. He takes a great deal of pride in his preparation on a weekly basis. He is just a student of the game. He’s a good role model to follow.
Q. What are his strength as a quarterback?
A. His best attribute is his understanding of the game and not just his position, but the players that are around him. He understands the passing game and he understands what we are trying to accomplish. There is a lot of responsibility that he is given, that he takes ownership too.
He has a strong arm and good vision.
Q. How’s his running game?
A. We didn’t ask him to run a lot last year. The third game of the year he injured his hip. Because of that I didn’t want to put him in harms way.
But he is able to move in the pocket and avoid rushers. This year he will be doing more running.
Schools of Interest: As of 6/9, he has interest from Georgetown, Harvard, Lafayette, Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh and Temple
