Coaches Q&A with Albie Crosby:
Q What are his strengths at tight end?
A. His greatest attribute is his tenacity as a blocker and he loves doing it. He’s very good at it. He has soft hands and is very athletic. He’s such a weapon for us when we are at the goal line.
Last year we didn’t throw to him a lot because of the weapons we had. This year we are planning to get the football to him in different aspects.
Q. How much defense does he play at defensive end?
A. We put him in spots. He played the last four games due to an injury and he ended up with 15 sacks. He can run really well and get at the quarterback.
He’s a good pass rusher and run stopper. He’s very physical and aggressive.
College offers: As of 6/20, he has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Temple, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Western Michigan and Wisconsin
