Offense:

We lost 93% of our yardage from last year in Kyle Ferryman (Moravian) and Richard Nase (Shippensburg). We will have a very balanced offensive attack.

We have two quarterbacks challenging for the starting spot, and both are juniors. Matt Hudicka and Ali Capobianco. It will be a battle that will continue through camp and both of our scrimmages.

Rian Shubeck at fullback will be asked to be a leader and carry the ball more than last year. Jake Suveg and Isaiah Cruz are both nice running backs that compliment each other very well.

The offensive line will be made up of mostly juniors such as: Triston Strunk, Luke Hunsicker. Kyle Emmert, Shane Houser and Dylan Moyer.

The wide receivers will be a nice mix of seniors and sophomores. We have a fairly young squad that will definitely grow and improve as the season progresses.

Defense:

The defense lacks size, but we will have decent speed. They are picking up the concepts fairly well. Rian Shubeck at defensive tackle will once again be the leader and will make our defense go. He will be undersized a bit but he will require a lot of double teams and that will open things up for other players.

Anthony Micholik at outside linebacker, is a sophomore and has a lot of potential to do great things.

The secondary is rather deep with seven guys that could see the field on a Friday night. Cee Keo at Safety should have a solid year. Danny Gilberry, Matt Hudicka, Ali Capobianco, Jake Suveg, Josue Rodriguez and Devin Hoffman are the guys battling for playing time.

Special Teams:

We return a great punter in Jake Suveg.

Brendan Morgans who plays a lot of soccer in the Lehigh Valley came out and will be a huge addition in the kicking game.

We have a nice amount of players who can return kicks and punts (Danny Gilberry, Anthony Micholik, Josue Rodriguez, Isaiah Cruz, Jake Suveg).

Special teams will need to be a big part of our game in order to help us take advantage of field position.

D1 (FBS & FCS) Prospects:

Key Stats: Rian Shubeck will be the key leader on both sides of the ball at FB/DT/LB. He’s a state qualifier in wrestling this past year in the 220 lb weight class. PV record is 7-23 in the last 3 seasons.

2014 Outlook: Nase and Ferryman both ran for over 1000 yards last year, and we need to find people to carry the football. The first two games will let us know where we stand as we play Schuylkill Haven and Marian Catholic. Numbers have improved from 25 last year to close to 40 this year. A .500 record is the goal.
