2015 Outlook: Please let us know the keys about your team on offense, defense and special teams. What are your keys to having a successful year?
We are coming off a subpar 2014 season during which our program became irrelevant in both DIII and YAIAA 4A football. Our 2014 Panthers suffered from many self-inflicted wounds that ultimately were exposed by our opponents each and every Friday. We feel that we have addressed the issues responsible for those “wounds” and our resulting lack of competitiveness.
The 2015 season will help us evaluate our progress toward raising our level of play toward a competitive level. I am sure there is still work to be done, but this will be an exciting, fun season.
Our 2014 results should be sufficient motivation for our players to build the very best football team we can build in 2015. As a coaching staff we hope that the players “get it”. As of this writing I can tell you that we are excited about this 2015 football team. There is a sense of urgency among the returning players who want to prove that 2014 was an anomaly.
