Saturday night, the Malvern Prep Friars propelled themselves past the Penn Charter Quakers.

It was senior night for Malvern but it was sophomore RB O’Shaan Allison who put on the show, totaling 253 rushing yards on 20 carries. He scored four touchdowns.

The Quakers stormed out of the gates early, turning a missed 30 yard Friar field goal into a 80 yard touchdown drive capped by a 20 yard, one handed touchdown reception from Penn Charter WR Evan Ferrell, on fourth and eight.

However, Malvern scored the next 37. Allison’s aforementioned contributions were supported by a 57 yard run by Rashon Lusane in the first quarter and multiple quality runs from Brian Boyle. All Malvern stats attached below.

The Malvern defense also played a significant role in the win. At one point the Friars forced three straight “three and outs” from the Quakers. The performance was sealed in the third quarter with a safety and interception by DB Dan Sullivan.

“I have to thank my O-line,” Allison said of his performance. “They were firing off the line every play, opening holes.”

“I could not do anything without [my O-line]” he said.

Penn Charter looks to rebound next week against Germantown Academy (11-14, 1:30 PM, @PC).

“I’m looking forward to finishing strong next week – no more losses.” Allison said.

Malvern faces Springside Chestnut Hill next Saturday (11-14, 1:00 PM, @MP).
