Coaches Comments: Class of 2017 All State 6’4 275lb Crae McCracken returned to Loyalsock after his breakout sophomore season with an even more impressive showing. Spearheading the top ranked defense in District IV with his 87 Tackles, 13 for loss, and 7 sacks from the defensive end position, his dominance was felt early in the season as teams learned not to run to his side of the field. He also excelled on the offensive side of the ball earning both offensive and defensive first team all conference honors, all district, and all area. He was also noted as an All State Defensive Lineman by easternpafootball.com and a All 33 selection from PaPreps.com. Crae is invited to the Golden 33 invitational camp before the Big 33 game this year as well as has been invited to the Nike Opening Regionals.
Outside of football Crae’s toughness was defined even clearer with his finishing #5 in the state in heavyweight wrestling and garnering D1 FBS in wrestling. He had not wrestled for the past two years and never in heavyweight before. Additionally he only wrestled during playoffs due to injury. Having a full season should have amounted to a prestigious state title in wrestling.
