District 11 Talk Week 8

Panther Valley

Panther Valley wide receiver Jake Dunn’s big plays helped Panther Valley over Tamaqua 20-2.

Dunn caught four passes for 119 yards. Two of his catches went for 82 yards and 21 yards for scores. Both scores got the crowd into the game and sparked his team.

Quarterback Casey Lawrence completed 5 of 9 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

Panther Valley (7-1) travels to unbeaten North Schuylkill (8-0) next week.

Northern Lehigh

Cody Remaley ran for four touchdowns to lead Northern Lehigh over Bangor 49-7.

With the win, Northern Lehigh keeps in the hunt for the number one spot in the upcoming District 11 AA tournament.

Remaley rushed for 140 yards on 27 carries and the Bulldogs rushed for 327 yards on 52 carries.

Northern Lehigh (7-1) hosts Catasauqua (6-2)

Catasauqua

Brandon Lesko did it through the air and with his legs to lead Catasauqua over Palmerton 38-12.

Lesko passed for 89 yards and two touchdowns passes, both to Tommy Armellino. Armellino caught three touchdown passes of 61, 27 and 25 yards for scores.

Lesko also rushed for 98 yards.

Catasauqua (6-2) travels to Northern Lehigh (7-1).

Bethlehem Liberty

Liberty jumped out to a 21-0 lead and went on to rout Nazareth Area 42-7 at Bethlehem Area School District Stadium.

Liberty amassed 412 yards of offense and on defense they held Nazareth to 119 yards.

Quarterback Anthony Gonzalez completed six of 14 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 66 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns.

Stanford-bound wide receiver Jarred West caught six passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Bethlehem Liberty (5-3) travels to Easton Area (7-1).
