EASTON – In a battle between two Colonial League teams, Pen Argyl gets the opening weekend win.
After Wilson opened the game with a punt, Pen Argyl got the scoring started with a one-yard Austin Heisler Touchdown run. Eric Lobb added the extra point to make the score 7-0 Green Knights with 4:42 left in first quarter.

Pen Argyl started the second half with a 8:55 drive capped off by a five-yard Sterner touchdown run. The two point conversion was good and with 3:05 left in third quarter it’s 28-0 Green Knights.
In the fourth quarter, after a Pen Argyl punt, the Warriors found the end zone with a
Kolby Flank two- yard touchdown run. Robby Swiatek added the extra point and the score was 28-7 Green Knights. Both teams traded punts and the game ended with a Green Knight victory 28-7.
Sterner at halfback and Ruppert at quarterback had big games for the Green Knights as did Terrance Mainor at defensive end for the Warriors.
The Green Knights (1-0) host the Panthers of Saucon Valley (1-0) next Saturday afternoon. The Warriors (0-1) travel to Pirates of Palisades (0-1) next Friday evening.
