National Scouting Report, the world’s oldest and largest high school scouting and college recruiting organization, is on the ground in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Directed by Gary Silvers, longtime Executive Sports Editor of the Bucks County Courier Times and South Jersey Courier-Post and former high school and college football writer, NSR helps high school football players connect with college coaches on all levels (NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA) and receive offers.
An unparalleled 95 percent of NSR’s prospects earn athletic and academic scholarships, changing their lives and saving their families tens of thousands of dollars.
Established in 1980, NSR receives hundreds of requests annually from college football coaches seeking qualified prospects. NSR’s 200 national and international scouts evaluate, interview and qualify those prospects for college coaches.
Former NSR prospects include Hines Ward (Georgia), the greatest wide receiver in Pittsburgh Steelers history; Landry Jones (Oklahoma), backup quarterback for the Steelers; Jay Prosch (Illinois/Auburn), running back for the Houston Texans; and tight end O.J. Howard (Alabama), MVP of the 2016 College Football Playoff Championship.
“We like to work with prospects as early as possible — primarily freshmen, sophomores and juniors,” said Silvers, who oversees 10 area scouts. “We also can help seniors who have been overlooked. Not only do we promote them to college coaches, we guide them and their families through the entire recruiting process.”
