District 11 Talk Week 11

Easton Area

Easton Area’s running game and hard-hitting defense led the way in a 34-7 rout of Bethlehem Catholic.

With the win they earned the No. 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the District 2-4-11 Class 4A sub-regional playoffs.

Jasheed Gaddy rushed for 77 yards on 12 carries. Justin Pacchioli completed 8 of 17 passes for 121 yards.

North Schuylkill

After a slow start in the first half the Spartans defense came up with three fumble recoveries and the offense scored all four touchdowns on the ground to defeat the Red Tornadoes 27-7.

Scott Houser led North Schuylkill with 124 yards and three touchdowns.

The Spartans will be the No. 1 seed in the District 11 Class AA playoffs.

Bethlehem Liberty

Anthony Gonzalez rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns. He passed for 114 yards and two scores to lead Liberty over Freedom 39-21.

Gonzalez also broke a rushing record held by Darren Mason. His 70-yard run in the first quarter surpassed the 3,014-yard mark.

The defending PIAA Class 4A champions are the No. 7 seed in the District 2-4-11 sub-regional Class 4A playoffs.
