Kody Kegarise wins Maxwell Football Club PA Player of the Year Award

DREXEL HILL – Maxwell Football Club President, Ron Jaworski, announced Thursday night that Kody Kegarise, a senior from Manheim Central high school, was recognized as the Maxwell Football Club Pennsylvania Player of the Year.

This took place at the Club’s 32nd annual awards dinner at Drexelbrook Country Club in Drexel Hill. In addition, the Maxwell Football Club honored 62 finalists with Mini-Max trophies.

The Mini-Max is awarded to the region’s top senior football players. The region is made up of players from District 1, 3, 11, 12 and Independent schools.

Kegarise is a 6’, 185-pound senior who completed 134 of 209 passes for 2,348 yards and 19 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,627 yards on 180 carries and 28 touchdowns. When you add up his totals they are eye popping, 3,975 total yards and 47 touchdowns.

His team finished 11-2.

The Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware Players of the Year will be the candidates for the Club’s 32nd Jim Henry Award as the Outstanding Player in the region.

The winner of the Jim Henry Award will be announced as part of the Maxwell Football Club’s National Awards Gala which will be held in March 10, 2017 at the Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. The Maxwell Football Club will also present its collegiate and professional awards at this event.
