Hunter is a once in a lifetime football player. I am proud to have had the opportunity, along with our coaching staff, to coach Hunter,” said Head Coach Justin VanFleet.
Hunter leaves the school with the career and season tackles records with 179 during his senior season and 428 for his career. His senior season he also recorded 24 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, as well as three interceptions leading his team to a District Championship.
Offensively he was a threat in the passing game as well as the rushing game totaling 483 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns.
Coach VanFleet went on to say, His combination of aggressiveness, size, speed, and strength was overwhelming at times for opponents. He was an extraordinarily dominant defensive player in space who was obviously incredibly productive. His versatility on the field also allowed us to use him in a wide variety of scenarios in order to create matchup problems on either the defensive or offensive side of the ball.
