Biglerville defeats Northeastern 31-0

Northeastern took the opening kickoff and ran it to their 43-yard line.  They ran the ball three times for a first down.  Then on the next set of downs they went for it on fourth and five and were unable to make it. Biglerville took over on downs. 

Biglerville was unable to do anything offensively on its first opportunity with the ball and had to punt.  The punt pinned Northeastern on it’s own ten yard line.  After being sacked, Northeastern had to punt from its own two yard line.  Biglerville took control of the ball on the 43 and went to work.  Jarred Picarelli had a great run to set up a four yard touchdown run by Parker Showers to give the Canners a 7-0 lead.  Northeastern got the ball at its 31 but turned the ball over on downs.  Biglerville scored on the following drive with a 14-yard TD pass by Picarelli to Mike Wagner giving Biglerville a 14-0 lead.  Northeastern once again went for it on 4th down but were called for a false start penalty.  The penalty forced them to punt from the 38-yard line. 

On the ensuing drive Biglerville went for it on 4th and 12 and scored when Picarelli threw a 20-yard TD pass to Wagner making it 21-0 Biglerville.  Northeastern once again went for it on 4th down and turned the ball over on downs.  Biglerville scored once more before the half on a 21-yard TD pass by Picarelli to Nic Lieberum making the score 28-0 Biglerville at the half.  Biglerville took the second half kickoff to the 40 yard line of Northeastern.  Biglervilleʼs drive stalled and they settled for a 22-yard field goal by kicker Matt Guise making the score 31-0 Biglerville. 

On the next drive the ball was fumbled twice on one play.  Northeastern fumbled the ball and Biglerville recovered it but fumbled it right back to Northeastern giving Northeastern a first down.  Northeastern was unable to muster up much offense and had to punt. 

On the following Biglerville possession, Shawn Hansel picked off a Picarelli pass on the 42-yard line.  Northeastern was once again forced to go for it on fourth down and turned the ball over on downs. 

Biglerville once again having the ball turned it over on a fumble which gave Northeastern the ball at the 41 yardline.  Northeastern finally got into scoring position on a 29-yard run on a reverse play by Patrick Hilbert putting the ball at the Biglerville five.  But Northeasternʼs quarterback Roger Eaton fumbled the ball when Biglerville got pressure up the middle hitting the quarterback in the backfield.  Neither team was able to score after this point and the game ended in a 31-0 Victory for Biglerville.
