The Vikings reached the PIAA AAA playoffs last year, hanging with powerful Selinsgrove for a half before falling, 31-10.  But the Vikings are primed for yet another deep playoff run, even with the loss of defensive stalwart Connor Faust for the entire season.  Junior QB Brandon Nosovitch (2,078 passing yards, 1,163 rush yards, 41 total TD) is a major player and will surely be a Division-1 prospect in the 2012 class.  Nosovitch is believed to be the first sophomore in Pennsylvania history to post a 2,000-1,000 season at quarterback, and just one of six 2,000-1,000 QBs in the state since 1996.  Nosovitch’s favorite targets in the passing game –  Kevin Guylas (41 rec., 837 yds., 7 TD), Shane McNeely (28, 461, 5) and Jack Sandherr (23, 364, 5) are all back.  OLs Jared Pitts, Tad McNeely and Trevor Scarlato provide an experienced front of protection, and CB Noah Robb returns to the defensive backfield.  Central Catholic averaged 32.5 points per game.
