The top spot in the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 is on the line when Wilkes-Barre G.A.R. (3-0, 6-0) travels to Lake-Lehman to take on the Black Knights (4-0, 5-1) this Friday.

Notes: G.A.R. have won both of their contests away from home this season. The Grenadiers begin a three-game road stretch against Lake-Lehman. G.A.R. nipped Hanover, 21-20, last Friday. Quarterback Darrell Crawford ran for 100 yards on 20 carries (5.0 ypc) while throwing for 43 yards (4 of 11) and a score. G.A.R. has dropped Lake-Lehman the last four meetings.

Notes: All six of the Knights games have been decided by fourteen points or less. Lake-Lehman is 3-1 in contests that have a margin of nine points or less. The team’s signal caller Jared Novitski tossed the pigskin for 113 yards on 11 of 16 passing and scampered in for two touchdowns as the Knights defeated Northwest, 21-12, last weekend. Lake-Lehman last beat G.A.R. in 2005 (35-6).
