Offensive Player of the Week

Keed Kpoto – Cardinal O’Hara – RB – Senior

Having fought through nagging injuries all season, the Lions’ bruising back finally got back on track as he bludgeoned the Eagles to the tone of 252 yards on 31 carries. This strong outing paced the Lions as they notched their first win since the season opener. Kpoto found the end zone four times on runs of 37, 30, 60, and 19 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

Oscar Uduma – Bonner-Prendie – DE – Senior

The impressive Uduma wreaked havoc for the Friars as they stymied the Burrs, 19-8, this past Friday night at Widener University. All total, Uduma finished with six tackles, including a pair of sacks that forced fumbles in which teammates recovered.  The pair of sacks and another TFL totaled thirty yards in losses. He also added a pass defend.

Co-Special Teams Players of the Week

Tysheem Johnson – Neumann-Goretti – KR – Junior

With his team sputtering offensively and trailing, 3-0, the do-everything Johnson scooped up a squibb kick that initially avoided him and proceeded to race 83 yards to put the Saints on the board and give them a lead they would never relinquish. The Saints went onto to win, 30-9. Johnson added 155 yards on 23 carries, including a game-icing 63-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
