PENNSYLVANIA SCHOLASTIC FOOTBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION (PSFCA) IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE 2021 BIG 33 FOOTBALL CLASSIC’S PENNSYLVANIA ROSTER
The 64th (PSFCA) Big 33 Football Classic will be played on Monday, May 31 at Central Dauphin School District’s Landis Field in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
PSFCA Big 33 Executive Director, Garry Cathell, has already started the planning process for the 2021 Big 33 Football Classic. “While the weekend leading up to the game will look different this year, we are beyond excited to be able to showcase our extremely talented athletes from Pennsylvania and Maryland. We have to simplify our events surrounding the game this year and we still don’t know what game day will look like as far as fans in the stadium, but what we do know is that the 64th Big 33 Football Classic will be played!”
The Dauphin County Commissioners are partnering to support the PSFCA Big 33 Football Classic, which has also been described as the “Super Bowl of High School Football,” and has been played since 1957. Commissioner Chair Jeff Haste “wants to congratulate the student-athletes who will participate in the Big 33 game and commend all of our student-athletes your efforts pushed these players to reach this all-star stage.” Commissioner Mike Pries adds, “when student-athletes step onto the field to play the Big 33 game, they become a part of history. Every single Super Bowl has had a Big 33 alum competing in it. To the players: Do not ever forget the time, effort, and dedication you put forth to reach this moment.” In the midst of the global pandemic, we are proud to be able to continue the tradition of the Big 33. Commissioner George Hartwick III explains, “we know 2020 was a challenge for us all filled with detours and disruptions, but one thing will remain consistent – Dauphin County’s commitment to the Big 33 game. It is truly a great thing to be able to talk about events happening again.”
