The 2012 high school football prospect rankings were released today by Rivals.com.
Wyoming Valley West’s Eugene Lewis was listed as the 162nd top prospect among all soon-to-be-seniors in the nation. The 6’2, 181-pound athlete accounted for 30 touchdowns a year ago. Lewis threw the ball and ran the ball for over 1,000 yards respectively. Eugene has been offered scholarships from sixteen different higher education institutions including Boston College, Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
Number 7 paced an offense which averaged 28.3 points per game last season. The Spartans finished with a record of 7-4 and punched their ticket to the District II playoffs.
