EASTON, PA (May 16, 2011) – Football coaches everywhere will benefit from the same techniques used by top college and professional teams that are featured in the Manual of Football Drills and Skills, released by Lauren´s First and Goal Foundation today.
Manual of Football Drills and Skills is designed to provide coaching ideas from the best in the profession while increasing awareness of pediatric brain tumors and raising funds to help find a cure. All of the material, including drills for game-management, strength and conditioning, offense, defense and special teams, was contributed by more than 130 volunteer coaches from Division I, II and III and the professional ranks. Coaches from nearly all of the nation´s major conferences submitted information for this book.
“I want to thank every coach that took the time to share drills and strategies that make their programs successful,” said LFG founder John Loose, who is the defensive coordinator at Lafayette College. “This manual would be a tremendous resource for football coaches at any level of the game.”
All proceeds from the sale of Manual of Football Drills and Skills go directly to Lauren´s First and Goal Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports pediatric brain tumor research and cancer services, offers financial and emotional support to families living with pediatric cancer, and increases awareness of the disease. Founded in 2004, the charity has raised more than $1 million, primarily through its one-day Lauren´s First and Goal Football Camps.
