RUNNINGBACKS:
Travontai Davis of Pottsville rushed for 244 yards and 2 td’s in their win over Bangor and in the process went over 1,000 yards rushing for the season. Davis currently has 1,160 yards and he’s scored 15 td’s. Nick Beck of Salisbury had his first 200 yard game when he rushed for 220 yards in their loss to Northern Lehigh. Clarence Watkins of Allen had his 2nd 200 yard game last week when he rushed for 225 yards and 3 td’s in their win over ES North. He leads the District with 26 td’s and has also passed for 1,016 yards this season. Mike Stasko held the old Bomber record when he scored 21 td’s in 2015. With his 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards passing this season Machalik joins former Bombers Matt Falcone (1998) and Tekoah Guedes (2017) in accomplishing that feat. Deante’ Crawford of Freedom is 2nd in the District with 19 touchdowns and went over 1,000 yards rushing this season (1,057). Andre Reames of Stroudsburg also went over 1,000 yards rushing this season when he went 74 yards for a td vs ES South last week. Jaden Bownes of PM West also went over 1,000 yards on the season and now has 1,003 yards. Josh Chowansky of North Schuylkill still leads all rushers with his 1,328 yards this season. Justin Holmes of Northwestern went over 1,000 yards passing last week and needs 27 yards rushing to hit the 1,000 yard mark. For his career Holmes has scored 44 td’s and passed for 31 more.
QUARTERBACKS:
Jake Hall of North Schuylkill threw for 263 yards and 4 td’s in their win over Tamaqua. Hall went over 2,000 yards passing on the season and now has 2,016 yards. Hall has 27 td’s passes this season which is a new school record. Bobby Grigas held the old record when he threw for 26 td’s in 2014 as a junior. Bobby Moyer threw for 24 td’s in 1999 to round out the top 3 at North Schuylkill. Hall has 53 career td passes and needs 2 more to break the school record of 54 that Grigas threw from 2012-15. John Adams of Minersville leads the District with 2,223 yards passing. He needs 27 yards to break Scott Schwalm’s school record of 2,249 yards that he set in 2019. Adams threw 2 td’s last week to break the tie he had with Schwalm for single season td passes. Schwalm threw 21 td passes in 2019 while Adams now has 23 on the season. Danny Darno of Notre Dame threw for 289 yards and 3 td’s in their win over Pen Argyl. Trey Dogmantis of Whitehall and Brian Taylor of Freedom each had their first 200 yard passing game. Dylan Smoyer of Northern Lehigh had his 2nd 200 yard game when he threw for 209 yards and 3 td’s in their win over Salisbury. Smoyer has thrown 30 career td passes which ties the school record that Don Rubright set in the 1969 and 1970 seasons. Smoyer needs 113 yards to break the school career passing yardage record. Rubright has the record with 2,561 yards. Jayce Carbello-Snowell of Pottsville went over 1,000 yards passing for the season and now has thrown for 1,072 yards and 11 td passes. North Schuylkill’s Joey Flail went over 1,000 career yards receiving last week and now has 1,002 yards. The sophomore has 59 career catches with 14 of them going for td’s.
