Four weeks ago, LaSalle came into the matchup with Roman Catholic brimming with confidence and maybe a bit overconfident.  The Explorers exited the field that day with their only loss of the season.

A very different LaSalle College team came on the field Saturday against Roman Catholic. With the entire season riding on this game, LaSalle was very business-like and professional.  The Explorers were emotional yet guarded.  Saturday, the Explorers took the field to take care of business. Showcasing its depth of talent on both sides of the ball, LaSalle came away with a 45-0 payback win over Roman Catholic. LaSalle’s win sets up a rematch with St. Joe’s Prep for the District 12 title and a berth in the PIAA 6A tournament next week.

Explorer Running Back Sam Brown ran for two scores and threw another.  QB Alan Paturzo spread the ball through the air effectively all game long.  The Defense forced three turnovers and held their nemesis from game one, Tyseer Denmark, in check all game long.

Sam Brown got LaSalle going in quarter one.

The Explorers pulled out all the stops to gain a 14-0 lead following a turnover.

Two more productive drives made it 24-0 LaSalle at the break.

LaSalle scored on its first play of the second half to put this one away.
