  1. Wood IS the best team in the STATE. PCC won with a ‘home cooking” call by the ref at the end. Npbody, and I mean nobody can touch this team. Their Oline and D lines are big, athletic, and nasty. They pushed the PREP all around the field like they were a Pop Warner team.

  2. Undoubtedly Wood has a good team, but what gets me is that they’ll score a 1000 points against easier competition but come up small against the big boys.

  3. In regard to Jive Turkey. I agree that a teams history, especially recent history is what the rankings are based on. That, along with returning (proven) players can make one optimistic about a team. However, the most used source of reasoning is almost always ‘potential’. I agree in the case of West Catholic that you need to look at who they played and how well they played against these teams. IMO, WC is in the top 3 in AA if not the best team in AA. And I am NOT a WC fan, I am from D4 and would love to see them defeated, BUT those 3 defeats were against superior competition and only hardened this group. We’ll see…..

  4. It cracks me up how some people “phillyboy” act like these 16 and 17 year old boys are under contract to make a comment like that shows you the intellect of some of these bloggers…..these are kids you are talking about.

  5. Phillyboy.
Prima donnas? What are referring to? The Wood players have busted their humps over the last year. Why harp on them?

  6. This weeks game prep vs wood will def be one of the games of the week. Prep has a stellar qb and a great young rb but they are no match for woods defense. They return all but two starters and the two that fill that position are peoples and smith. The prep hasn’t seen size or speed like this yet. I know it will be a great game but I honestly don’t think they will match up with wood.

  7. Hey Prep fans, y’all need to throttle back a little bit. You guys are 3-0 but let’s look at it. You throttled 2 cupcakes (one from Canada). You have one quality win but even that may not be such an achievement because N Penn is finally having a down year. But I tell you what: Youse guys beat Wood you’re for real. Truth be told, I’m rooting for the Prep.

  8. Yo guys……… take it easy!!!!!! This is just one man’s opinion. It’s not written in stone! If your respective teams are as good as you think they are, and continue to win, they will get their due. Give the kid a break. It will all shake out in the end.

  9. I’ll start by saying that i am absolutely biased towards D12, being born and raised in philly. Prep 3-0 and pounded NP by 18, no mention? West has scored 7 points in 3 games and they are #8 in the state? NP 1-2 with 2 pretty good butt kickings, honorable mention? ACC 1-2, honorable mention? NP, ACC, and West are all very good teams with a tough schedule to start, however should these rankins not be earned by the young men playing this year and not the ghosts of players past.

  10. Prep Fan is absolutely correct. Are you awake when you do your rankings or just bias? North Penn will now enter league play against the other schools in the Continental Division of Suburban One. They will propably beat up on at least half of them if not three-quarters of them.
Remember North Penn has at least twice the enrollment of the second largest school in their division and almost three times the erollment of the smallest school in the Continental Division.
Don’t let these victories influence you.
WAKE UP AND BE FAIR IN YOUR RANKINGS!

  11. How can you come up with a top 10 list and put North Penn as honorable mention and not St. Joe’s Prep? We just pounded them 51-33 on Saturday night to go 3-0! Prep is 3-0 and averaging 45 points per game and dominated North Penn but still failed to make your honorable mention list? At least make it look like you did some homework on this list and take North Penn (1-2), off the list.

I guess we have to beat Wood Friday night to get your attention?

  12. ABINGTON IS 3-0, JUST HAVING CONVINCINGLY DEFEATED A GOOD SOUDERTON TEAM WHO LOST BY JUST 7 POINTS AT NESHAMINY, YOUR #2 TEAM IN THE STATE THIS WEEK. DON’T YOU THINK THEY BELONG IN YOUR TOP TEN?
NORTH PENN IS 1-2, HAVING LOST HANDILY TO UNRANKED ST. JOE PREP AND IS RANKED LIKE ABINGTON IN YOUR HONORABLE MENTION CATEGORY.
DO YOU RANK ON GAME RESULTS OR PAST REPUTATION AND PRE SEASON SELECTION?
