2022 Offensive Outlook: “Offensively we need to stress consistency running and throwing the football. We have some talented kids returning. SR Eric Wert and SR Jaiden Ellis-Lahey are a dangerous combination at WR. RB SR Zyaire Morris and SR Rahmel Terry will give us depth in the backfield. Terry missed 2021 with an ACL injury. Our Offensive Line has some experience returning. OT JR Ayache 6’4 275, OG SR George 6’0 295, C SR Spezza 5’9 215, and SR Mark Mulhurn 6’6 315 all started at least 4 games last season. OG SR Eli Thompson 6’3 285 will be the other starter. We have a battle at the QB position. I feel confident whoever wins the job will be ready to lead the team. SR Luke Thomas and JR Auggie Warke had impressive spring practices. Both kids wrestle and are extremely tough. Sophomore WR DJ Kelly and Justin Gonzalez were really impressive running routes and catching footballs.”

2022 Defensive Outlook: “Our goal defensively is to simplify. We have a good amount of kids who saw considerable time last season due to injuries. We will rotate 6 Kids on the DL. SR Mulhurn, JR Ayache, SR Thompson, and SR George all have game experience. JR Jacob Lance and SR Josh Doane are two DE’s we feel can contribute upfront. We are deep at the LB position. SR Ramos-Dobbins 5’11 215, JR Williams 6’3 195, SR Morris 5’10 190, and JR Solomon Sutton 5’9 195 all started at some point during last season. JR Mekhi LaPierre 5’10 180 and SO Carlos Perez 5’9 170 will get opportunities to play meaningful minutes. We are two deep in the secondary. CB’s SR Terry, SR Clements, JR Jacob Sutton, and SO DJ Kelly can rotate. Safeties SR Troy Miller, SR Eric Wert, JR Devin Greene, and SO Justin Gonzalez are all capable of starting or rotating.”

2022 Special Teams Outlook: “We have to replace two really good kickers. Jared Richardson (punter) and Anthony Barczynski (kicker). SO Jaiden Perez is getting reps as a punter. The kicking job is wide open. We have a number of kids who can return. Wert and Terry both have experience returning punts. Wert, Terry, Clements, and Jacob Sutton all returned Kick-Offs.”
