Muhlenberg High School was buzzing with excitement on homecoming weekend.  From the pep rally to electing the king and queen to be crowned, it was an overall good week.  The Muhlenberg Football team showed the pride of Muhlenberg even though losing this week.  Going up aganist a top ranked team in the state and district is not easy.  The Muhls tried their best to steal a win, but Daniel Boone was too overpowering.

Daniel Boone was up 24-6 at halftime and would go on to win 41-28.  For the Muhls, though, scoring 28 points was something fans have not seen since the first two games of the season.  The Muhls had a total of 244 yards on offense.  The Muhls also used the run game to score 3 of their 4 touchdowns.  Frankie German had two touchdown runs for 5 and 13 yards.  Dylan Smith earned the other running touchdown on an 8 yard run.  The passing game connected in the 4th quarter for a 9 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Adam Huber to Zach Waltz.  Huber completed 9 passes for 94 yards on the night.

Congratulations goes out to Daniel Boone’s quarterback Tommy Bodolus for becoming the third quarterback in Blazer’s history to have 3,000 yards passing throughout his career.  Friday night he combined for 300 yards of offense.  He also scored four touchdowns for the undefeated Blazers.

The Muhls travel to Twin Valley Friday looking to get back into the win column aganist the winless Raiders.
