Offensive Player of the Week:

Khaseem Phillips – St. Joseph’s Prep – RB – Junior

Phillips paced a balanced Hawks’ offensive attack with 135 yards on the ground on 17 carries and a touchdown. The visiting Hawks bested Gonzaga (D.C), 31-21, in their final tune-up before PCL Red division play begins. All total, the Hawks amassed 432 yards of offense with 241 coming on the ground. Phillips steadiness and reliability have been valuable for the Hawks to begin the season.

Defensive Player of the Week:

Evan Lojewski – Lansdale Catholic – DE – Senior

For the first time since the 2019 season (Spanning 23 games) the Crusaders notched a shutout with an impressive, 10-0, win on the road against Conwell-Egan. Though it was certainly a team effort, Lojewski played a major part from his defensive end position. He scored the game’s only touchdown on a 48-yard scoop and score fumble return. This was his second fumble recovery of the game. He also added 7 tackles (5 solos) with five going-for losses that accumulated 19 yards. The Crusaders’ defense held the usually reliable Eagles’ ground attack to just 26 yards on 33 carries and a total of just 61 yards of offense.

Special Teams Player of the Week:

Yasir Williams – Neumann-Goretti – KR – Senior

Williams got the Saints headed in the right direction this past Saturday when he fielded the opening kickoff and zipped 63 yards for a touchdown. From here the Saints methodically eased past West Catholic in a 37-7 victory.
