Offensive Player of the Week:

Semaj Beals – Roman Catholic – QB – Freshman

The Cahillites freshman signal caller continues to impress this season. In Roman’s, 41-to-7, handling of Father Judge, Beals was efficient and accurate throughout. He finished the night with 286 yards on 15-for-19 passing. Two of these passes went for scores. Beals possesses four of the top ten passing outputs in the PCL thru six games. If the youngster can continue this pace he’ll have an excellent shot of surpassing 2,000 yards for the season.

Defensive Player of the Week:

Isaiah Sessions – Bonner-Prendie – LB – Junior

This active Friars’ backer made his presence felt often in B-P’s convincing, 35-7, win over Ryan this past Friday night. Sessions spearheaded a Friars’ defense that held the Red Raiders to just 100 yards of total offense. All total, he registered 7 tackles (5 solos). Amongst these stops were a sack and 5 other TFLs that amassed 11 yards in losses.

Special Teams Player of the Week:

Darold Dengohe – La Salle College HS – DL – Senior

Usually, a menace when it comes to stopping opposing quarterbacks and running backs, Dengohe shared some of his wraths towards the kicking game in Lasalle’s exciting, 21-20, win at Calvert Hall. With 26 seconds left in the game, Calvert Hall scored a touchdown and all that was needed to tie things up with a successful extra point. From here, Dengohe broke through the line and got a paw on the kick to secure a much-needed road win for the Explorers. Earlier, Dengohe blocked a field goal attempt that prevented a long Calvert Hall drive from resulting in points.
