Banas goes to Quakertown

George Banas has been named head coach at Quakertown.

He replaces John Donnelly who left to take over as the head coach at Central Bucks East after seven years at Quakertown.

Banas was Donnelly’s defensive coordinator for the past five years. Banas, a graduate of Quakertown, will become the 17th head coach.

As a player Banas rushed for 1,027 yards in 1993 including a five touchdown game that season, which is the second most touchdowns scored in a single game in Quakertown history.
