WARMINSTER – “Consistency” was the message St. Joe’s Prep Head Coach Tim Roken delivered to his team this week. It has been an uncharacteristic up and down year for Prep this season. Coach Roken and the Hawks came up against a very formidable opponent in a fellow PCL Archbishop Wood squad Saturday. The only PA blemish for the Vikings this season and Head Coach Matt Walps’ squad was against a solid Malvern Prep team. Saturday’s game between these two rivals was a tale of two halves. The first half, was crazy, a slugfest, had turnovers, defensive scores and big plays. The second half, a solid, dominating, patented,Prep performance. That second half “consistency” gave St. Joe’s Prep(4-2) an impressive 38-20 victory over a very tough Archbishop Wood (5-3) Vikings squad.
St. Joe’s Prep Head Coach Tim Roken had some great postgame comments.

St. Joe’s Prep started out strong. They took the opening kick right down the field for a TD.
An impressive opening drive for @SJPrep_Football as Blaine Bunch runs it in from the 6 7-0 over @WoodFootball 8:57 quarter one @Wood_Vikings @SJPBroadcasting @SJPREP @HSFBamerica @PremiunSports @CaryMoyer pic.twitter.com/VGf8t5CkpM

On the next Prep possession, it was the Wood D that would shine with a pick six by Andrew McHugh!
That’s Andrew McHugh with the Pick 6 for @WoodFootball ! Tied. Now at 7 with @SJPrep_Football 4:51 quarter one @Wood_Vikings @HSFBamerica @PremiunSports @SJPBroadcasting pic.twitter.com/uDdhNDMCRp

The second defensive score of the first half was really crazy, maybe the wildest play we have seen in some time that put Prep up 14-7. Matt Dumond picks up a fumble deep in his own end, rumbles down the field ,then has the presence of mind to lateral to Josiah Trotter for a score. Watch this one on the big screen for the full effect!
Incredible on a 4th &10 from the @SJPREP 15 @WoodFootball fumbles @SJPrep_Football Matt Dumond picks up the ball, then laterals back to Josiah Trotter for the score! @SJPrep_Football now up 14-7 over @Wood_Vikings 6:36 until halftime. Remember this name gang, Ricardo Delgado. This guy is a beast, and he is fast. Watch Delgado take this screen pass and outrun the St. Joe’s Prep defense to the end zone.
Watch @WoodFootball Ricardo Delgado elude the @SJPREP tacklers and take this screen pass to the house! XP in no good so @SJPrep_Football still up 14-13 with 3:21 remaining in the first half. Wow! @Wood_Vikings @HSFBamerica @CaryMoyer @PremiunSports pic.twitter.com/1DGc5xclsN

One of the best kickers in PA, Antonio Chadha boots one through as the first half ends to stretch the Prep lead.
As the 1st half ends @SJPrep_Football Antonio Chadha boots through a 40 yard field goal into a stiff wind to give @SJPrep_Sports a 17-13 lead over @WoodFootball at the break. Yes sir! @Wood_Vikings @KickItJZ @HSFBamerica @PremiunSports @Get__Recruited @CaryMoyer pic.twitter.com/DlKkEE3cnw

Wood did not quit coming out of the locker room. The Vikings took the lead mid way through the third quarter.
This some kind of game. Watch @WoodFootball fumbling the ball forward 20 yards, into a host of @SJPrep_Football players, come up with the ball. 2 plays later it’s QB Trey Holsman to Semaj Bridgeman and @Wood_Vikings now up 20-17 over @SJPREP 6:31 quarter three @HSFBamerica pic.twitter.com/BQVgwGorH6

It did not take long for St Joe’s Prep to get control of this game. Led by QB Samaj Jones, Prep took the lead for good on their next possession.
And @SJPrep_Football comes right back. QB Samaj Jones puts @SJPREP back out in front 24-20 over @WoodFootball with 2:35 remaining in the third quarter @Wood_Vikings @HSFBamerica @SJPrep_Sports @SJPBroadcasting @CaryMoyer @PremiunSports pic.twitter.com/0vEPYyMe4c
